My name is kellie saxton. I do most if not all of my clothes shopping at hot topic. Today I am sitting in the food court shaking and extremely upset. I had to return a skull shall to the store this afternoon because when I tried it on at home I did not like the way that it hangs on me.

When I got to the store at north point mall (I usually shop at the mall of Georgia in Buford) I was SEVERELY mistreated by the store manager, MG.

When I walked in, and approached the counter with a return, the manager, MG, tapped the cashier on the shoulder and told her she would take it.

I put the receipt on the counter first and took out the garment second. It was a thin, sheer, scarf like material shall.

She picked it up and immediately She handed it backand told me I can't return it because it's been worn. Surprised by this, I replied shortly that I tried it on and didn't like the way it looked, but did not wear it. She sniffed the shall and told me it smelled like perfume, glaring at me like I'm in the wrong. I began to feel angry and humiliated, and told her sternly, again, slowly.. That I did not wear the garment. Of course I tried it on, that's how I know it doesn't fit me well. That's why I did not wear it. That's why I am returning it.

(I'm self consciously overweight and very sensitive about my size and the way clothes fit, and felt incredibly embarrassed)

She shook her head and pointed to the tag and said "look, see how the tag looks? That's how I can tell that's it worn" I looked and saw the tag had a wrinkle in it. This appalled me and I argued that the item has been in a bag inside my truck for most of the week waiting for me to bring it back. She proceeded to give me a fight and and disgraceful attitude, told me she didnt care what i said because she already told me she wasnt going to return it. This went on for a few unbelievable minutes.

At this point I was very upset and shaking inside of the store. She was treating me like I was lying and tried to shame me for returning the merchandise. I felt extremely embarrassed and attacked, so I began recording our transaction from that point on my iPhone.

She finally rolled her eyes and said "fine I'll return it this time!" told her that I would be calling her supervisor. She then proceeded to throw my stuff down and toss

My card back at me and tell me if I'm going to threaten her and call her boss she won't do it, and walked away. I waited 2 minutes for her to

Finish arranging things in the store and come back. This part of the transaction I have on video and I am still contemplating what action to take with it.

Literally the rudest woman I have ever experienced in your store. The staff has always been friendly polite and helpful, even funny! That's why I have always come back. What has changed!

I was not lying. I did not deserve twenty minutes of fighting for my $28 dollars back when my family and I spend at least $10,000 a year here at hot topic. I can't recall a time I've ever returned anything before either.

I've seen this woman harass people before it's terrible customer service and her attitude is a terrible way to treat people! I'm still shaking!! I recall the Sunday my wife and I were buying items including the shall, she was harassing a woman and her daughter about a coupon. Unnecessary!

She finally after all this returned my money back, and said "do you want me to return THAT shirt TOO?" And pointed to the blink 182 shirt I was wearing, obviously purchased from hot topic. I held back tears and responded with "there is nothing wrong with this shirt why would u say that. That was an inappropriate comment"

This is a serious Shame.considering I had intended to shop a bit there day but after this experience I will not be returning to hot topic again.

I called the store afterward and was very professional mannered asking for her supervisors number. She avoided my question a few times asking why I was so mad, I got what I wanted.

I SHOULD NOT have been treated the way that I was upon returning my UNWORN garment. Her comments and attitude were horrendous "do you want to return THAT TOO?" smirk... Ridiculous! Disgraceful. I would like to speak personally with her supervisor. I've never been treated so badly at a store where I spend so much money!! You lost my business.

SHE DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHY IM UPSET?

... Adding to this message it is now the day after and I still haven't heard from anyone. This has happened in your store to me, your customer, and no one has done anything to make this right. Not so

Much as an automated apology or reassurance that the issue will be brought up. I was left to feel this way the rest of the day yesterday and, I'm sure, the long weekend. This is how you handle and treat customers that have been wrongly harassed and mistreated? I haven't decided what to do as far as social media and the video, but my family and two of my friends have assured me they will not be returning to

Hot topic either. Even Amazon apologizes, my wife told me. This is incredibly disappointing and weighing heavily on my heart. I didn't deserve to be punished in your Store for something I didn't do and then ridiculed for wearing hot topic merchandise. Still in shock. I've been a WEEKLY customer for 10 years.

$28 dollars should never be worth losing a customers business.

This shoul have never happened, and the simple transaction should

Have never escalated to me shaking and holding back tears.
